The short version

Your timesheet is calculated in your browser. Nothing you type into a calculator is sent to us, because the site has no server that could receive it. What you save stays in this browser on this device.

What stays on your device

PunchedHours uses your browser's local storage, not cookies, for three things:

• your settings (clock format, currency, and week start day)
• timesheets you choose to save, up to 20
• your light or dark theme choice

This data stays in your browser until you delete it. To delete it, use Clear saved data on any calculator, or clear this site's data in your browser settings. The embedded calculator on other websites saves nothing.

Share links

When you use Copy link, the timesheet is compressed into the part of the link after the # sign. Browsers don't send that part to the website when the page loads, so it doesn't reach us or our host. When you open a share link, the calculator reads it and then removes it from the address bar.

The link itself contains the timesheet. Anyone you send it to, and anywhere it gets pasted, such as a chat or an email, can read the names, times, and pay rate in it. Share it only with people who should see them.

What our host sees

The site is a set of static files served by Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel receives standard request information when your browser loads a page: your IP address, the page address without the # part, and your browser type. Vercel processes and retains this under its own privacy policy. We don't add anything to it, and your timesheet is never part of it.

Ads and analytics

The site currently shows no ads and runs no analytics. It loads nothing from other companies. If that changes, this page will be updated first, and a consent prompt will appear where the law requires one.

How you can check this

Open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and use a calculator. You will see that typing, saving, and exporting send no requests. The site's Content Security Policy blocks connections to any other address.

Children

PunchedHours is a general-purpose tool and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone.
