About PunchedHours

PunchedHours is a set of free calculators for the arithmetic around a paycheck: hours on a time card, overtime, decimal hours, and paid time off. It is built and maintained by Pohja Studio, an independent web studio.

Why it exists. Most time card calculators online either skip the rules that matter to payroll, such as daily overtime, per-workweek overtime, and rounding, or ask for an email address before showing a total. We wanted one that gets the rules right and asks for nothing.

How it is built. Every calculation runs in your browser. The site has no accounts, no database, and no server code that could receive your timesheet. Times are handled as whole minutes and money as whole cents, so totals don't drift through rounding. Each overtime rule is written down with its legal source and checked by automated tests before every release. The methodology page shows all of it.

What it isn't. PunchedHours is not a payroll service, and nothing here is legal advice. The calculators give an estimate for your own records. Exemptions, union contracts, and state rules we don't model can change what you are owed.

Corrections. If you think a rule or a result is wrong, write to info@pohjastudio.fi with the inputs you used and what you expected. Confirmed fixes go into the change log on the methodology page with a date.
